Meet the Coaches

Director & Head Coach boys U10- Nick Barker

Nick grew up in South Ogden, and moved to St. George in 2010. He Started playing soccer at age 3, then played competitively from 3rd grade through High School before serving an LDS mission in South Korea. He is an avid fan of Real Salt Lake and US Soccer. Nick is passionate about helping youth develop a love of soccer. He continues to play in local men’s leagues and organizes pick-up games. He has a love for family and has three children and a supportive wife.

Assistant Coach- Lane Barker

Lane has been coaching soccer for 20+ years and enjoyed coaching his own children as they grew. His coaching licenses include license E and D. He coached girls comp soccer for the South Ogden Angels, U8-U14 top premiere team in Utah. He was the head coach for Bonneville High School girls soccer team for 3 years where his team won the State Championship 2008, Region Champs and 2nd in State 2009, and Region and State Championship 2010. Lane was named Coach of the Year for girl’s soccer in 2010. Afterwards, he coached youth boys for 3 years, and continues to share his love and passion for soccer with SG Pride Soccer. He believes in Positive Coaching Alliance principles, being a positive role model, and teaching life lessons to young athletes.

Assistant and Team Doctor- Brandon Cardon

Brandon has enjoyed soccer on and off his whole life. His sophomore year of high school he was invited by a friend to try out for the team, after not having played for several years, and he’s been playing ever since. He enjoys playing soccer with his family, and most evenings they have a family game going on in their backyard. He enjoys watching his kids and their teammates and friends learn life lessons as they progress on and off the field. Brandon is excited to be a part of the St George Pride family! He’s looking forward to another great season!
